Selangor FC Withdraws From Charity Shield

Selangor FC have withdrawn from the upcoming Community Shield match.  

Officials say the decision was due to security concerns following the recent acid attack on player Faisal Halim as well as threats to other players and team officials.  

The match, against JDT, was scheduled to take place in Iskandar Puteri, Johor tomorrow.  

Meanwhile the Sultan of Selangor has backed Selangor FC's decision.  

His majesty says the safety of players and staff must take precedence, adding that the team's morale is still affected following the incident.

Real Madrid have booked their spot in the Champions League final!  

This is after they came back from a goal down to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in their second-leg semifinal at the Bernabeu.  

Alphonso Davies put Bayern ahead mid-way through the second half, before Real's Joselu scored twice, in the 88th and 91st minutes.  

Real advanced 4-3 on aggregate and will face Borussia Dortmund in the final.

Meanwhile, Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has slammed the match officials, after they were denied a late goal.   

Bayern thought they had scored a stoppage time equaliser, that would have taken the game to extra time.  

However, it was disallowed as the linesman had raised his flag for offside and the referee blown his whistle before the shot was fired into the net.

Also, Tuchel has hinted that he'd like to return to the Premier League when his Bayern contract expires at the end of the season.  

The former Chelsea boss was recently linked with Man United, if they decide to sack Erik Ten Hag.
