Chinese New Year is all fun and games until some family member starts asking something we don’t really want to answer. If you have an aunt or an uncle, brace yourself… see how many of these you can relate to!
1. When are you planning to get married?

Especially if you’re in your late 20s and enjoying life just fine, you’ll have at least one aunt who has this question for you. We know, this question has been there since the dawn of time. But, will aunties ever stop asking you this? NEVER.
2. Are you exercising / Are you not exercising?

Even when we feel good with the way we are, some people will seem to always be more concerned about us. There will be one person in the family who always talks about weight matters, whether you gained or you lost it, they’re going to ask you this, just because!
3. Why don’t you look for another job?

Every job is stressful in one-way or another. The minute we mention just one problem, it’ll be registered in their minds for eternity. They’re going to ask you every time they see you, if you’re happy at your workplace or how that ex-colleague that made you angry 3 years ago is now… or when are you going to get another job.

Every family has that one person who wants to know everything that’s going on in everybody’s life… even though you probably already forgot who they’re referring to by now!

This is the question we all fear the most. Not because we genuinely didn’t see it, but because we conveniently overlooked it and do not want to be reminded about it. But how do we tell them?

Admit it, we all have this one elderly family member who tries their best to keep up with technology but just… fails. It’s a very good intention, but sometimes it requires a lot of patience to teach them how to do it again for the 100thtime!

NOTHING. Just shrug it off and have fun! The more you think about it, the more it would just annoy you. After all, they’re our family and we love them just as much!
