The pandemic has hit many of us this year, especially the ones away from their families.

The migrant workers, who are currently stuck in the countries they’re working in, have not been able to visit their families or be around to celebrate any festivities.

Such is the case in this particular dormitory in Singapore, and to boost the workers’ spirits, their dormitory operator decorated the place like a grand palace for the upcoming festival of lights.

Simply amazing!

Janet, who was appointed to take care of the worker’s welfare, was touched by her boss, Joey’s very thoughtful gesture.

She said that everyone’s spirits have been so low during this period and she’s even heard some of the workers crying because there’s only so much they can handle.

Since they’re unable to celebrate Deepavali with their families, Joey threw this little surprise to boost her workers’ mood.

They returned to their dormitory after a long day at work only to be delighted at the transformation!

Janet added that her boss would usually book a restaurant for the workers to celebrate, but this year had to be a little different due to the pandemic.

The mini celebration went well with some food and the workers snapping photos along the way!

It doesn’t make things easier, but at least it made them happy for a moment and that really mattered!

A little kindness always goes a long way. This Deepavali, spread some positivity because we all could do with some right now.
