Some of the usual highlights of an Indian wedding, besides the colours and food, are dance and a tad bit of drama. But hey, this bride called off her wedding because she was forced to dance!

During the arranged marriage ceremony that was held in Uttar Pradesh, India, the bride and groom’s families got into a heated argument after the groom’s friends dragged her to the dance floor.
Things were going just fine with both the postgraduate couple until that particular incident happened, upsetting the bride-to-be.
Her father said that his daughter cannot be forced to tie the knot with a man who doesn’t respect her.
The bride’s family allegedly filed a dowry complaint against the groom’s family but they agreed for a settlement later.
After agreeing to pay 6.5lakhs (over RM 30,000), the groom’s family tried to convince the bride’s side to re-arrange a simple ceremony but to no avail.
A few of his friends’ behaviour was totally unacceptable to her.
