More and more people are coming out and paying tribute to Kobe, but some messages and experiences people share really break our hearts.

Little did we know the NBA star had been working on a children’s book with his co-author, Paulo Coelho, author of The Alchemist himself, just a few months before his tragic death.

Paulo tweeted that he’s deleting the unfinished draft that the two had worked on, with the screenshot of a text message the two exchanged.

The author claimed that the book was meant to inspire underprivileged kids to overcome adversity through sports.

He added that the #GirlDad had always wanted to write a book that brought positive examples for children.

However, the internet disapproved of his move and saif that Kobe would have wanted Paulo to finish and publish it. Many fans have urged Paulo to finish the book in Kobe’s honour.

We’d love to see the book in honour of one of the best basketball players ever. What do you think?
