While the footballing world mourns the death of a legend, Diego Maradona (or Maradona, for short), another part of the internet is confused… because they actually thought Queen of Pop, Madonna had died!

Not much to our surprise (because anything is possible in this day and age), Madonna started trending on Twitter today (November 26th), after news broke that the Argentine legend had passed away.

As usual, netizens were quick to react, as Twitter was filled with RIP messages for the singer, before countless number of tweets pointed out that it was NOT her who had passed.

We’re not quite sure if we should laugh or be concerned about this.

P.S: In case you didn’t already know, Maradona died of a heart attack yesterday (November 25th, two weeks after a brain surgery.

Argentina's president declared three days of official mourning following a state funeral.
