Did you just read the title and went all “I RELATE TO THAT!”?

Well, if you did… this is indeed for you, and no, we did not forget you!

Do you ever feel your heart’s heavy from all the love you’ve been holding back because that particular someone is not ready to accept you, or they just don’t have any idea of your love towards them?

Do you want to show your love for that special someone but don’t want to come off as ‘desperate’?

Well, we’ve got some options for you so that you don’t feel so ‘heavy’. And we hope they’d help!

1. BLIND DATE!

Go on a blind date. Life’s too short to wait for fairy tales. Create one. Get dressed. Go and impress. You deserve someone who chooses you.

2. THROW KINDNESS LIKE COFETTI!

So you’ve been feeling down because you’ve not been getting much attention from that one person? You know what darling? You can do way better than that.

Get the world’s attention, instead. Go out, compliment a stranger, give a rose to the aunty at the mamak-stall, have a little chat with your neighbour’s kid, buy dinner for a homeless person. Sometimes, talking to strangers can teach you a lot about life.

You can’t make your own day? Make someone else’s. See how happy that would make you.

3. WRITE 'EM DOWN!

Take out a piece of paper (or a few if you need to!) and write down all that you would want to tell your crush and what do you later?

Nothing. Go to bed. You’ll have a better sleep because you’d feel a lot lighter. Bottling up feelings is never a good thing. If you’re not ready to share your feelings with other people, share them with yourself. Let it out. You deserve a good night’s sleep!

4. LET GO!

If you’re stuck on someone who’s got their eyes on someone else, the best thing for you to do is… let them go.

Because you can’t force love and nothing forced ever stays. Wish them happiness, be the bigger person and move on.

Learn to forgive without hearing an apology.

We know it’s tough, but we also know you’re tougher. You can do this!

5. Open up!

You’ve got this! Have you noticed that you feel a lot better when you pour out what you’ve been bottling up? Then why don’t you do it?

Take a deep breath, gather the courage, tell THAT person that you like him / her! And that’s it! See how that makes you feel.

Life’s not worth the doubt. Speak your heart at all times!

And you may wonder, what if your feelings are not reciprocated? Well, remember this… Our duty as humans is to love, whether we’re loved in return shouldn’t be much of our concern.

So be the love you’d like to receive and walk like a boss. What’s meant for you will always find its way back! Hang in there.

HAPPY VALENTINE’ S DAY! Which one of these are you planning to do?
