So while you’re busy checking out hot girls/boys photos online and in real life, NASA has been keeping track of the ‘hot’ stuff that really matters… like the Earth we live in.

Earth has been heating up since the 19th century, but 2020 might go down in history (together with the quarantine life) for being the hottest year ever!

This isn’t good news. This drastic spike in temperatures could have catastrophic consequences for the planet. May 2020 was about 1.5 degree Celsius hotter than the average month recorded on Earth since 1880.

NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said that February – April 2020 were the second warmest months ever recorded. The current runner up is 2019, with the month of July being the warmest month ever recorded on Earth.

This is really worrying, and we need to act on it, fast. Let’s help to reduce global warming in the ways we can.

What have you been doing to help the Earth?
