Once upon a time, Twitter decided to save our eyes and our battery lives by going dark. Not long after, Instagram followed suit. This was followed by Facebook and now, it looks like Whatsapp web has caved in as well.

After adding many features to improve the app, Whatsapp has finally announced that the dark-mode is coming our way! Your web and desktop app can now get an upgrade. For all the new features, check out the video below!
The Facebook-owned company shared a screenshot of how the dark-mode is going to look like and we just don’t want to take our eyes off it.
Although it hasn’t announced an exact date for the release of these features, we are pretty thrilled to see what’s coming in the ‘next few weeks’.

We know there are already some Chrome and Microsoft Edge extensions that allows you to get some form of dark mode, but guys, do remember that it can be dangerous as we don't know how safe these extensions are- it may even have the potential to crawl through your chats and pick up the numbers of your friends and family.
So let’s just be a little patient and wait for this glorious day! Are you a dark-mode person?
