After almost seven years, Arrow is ready to say goodbye with a final season.
Fans of the Arrowverse will be disheartened to know that season eight will be the final season of Arrow.
“This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we’ve made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of Arrow in mind,” series executive producers, Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz said in a statement.
“We’re heartened by the fact that Arrow has birthed an entire universe of shows that will continue on for many years to come,” they continued. “We’re excited about crafting a conclusion that honours the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and – more importantly – the incredibly crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years.”
The final season of Arrow will consist of just 10 episodes that will wrap up the adventures of vigilante, Oliver Queen.
Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver, took to social media to express his love for Arrow fans and for his character. He tweeted, “Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever… There’s so much to say… for now I just want to say thank you.”

My heart is breaking!!! Sucks even more because Arrow has been consistently good since season 5. You can’t say that about some other shows, but I also understand everything must come to an end.

It’s really going to be hard finishing this season and going into the next final one.
What a run. Congrats!
