Thailand is known for its high population of elephants so it was probably an accident that this baby elephant got hit by a motorcycle.

The young calf was wailing in pain on a dark, empty road but luck was on its side that day, as a rescue worker helped the baby elephant even though he was off-duty.

It was however Mana Srivate’s first time resuscitating an elephant. With his calm mind and on-point assumption on where its heart would be located, he gave the baby elephant CPR

Mana said that he received a call while he was on a road trip and rushed to the scene to do what he can. He added that he assumed the location of the elephant’s heart based on human theory and a video he saw online.

“When the baby elephant started to move, I almost cried”, he said. Well, we would have cried too.

The young one regained consciousness after about 10 minutes and it was taken for treatment and eventually reunited with its mother.

The End… a very heartwarming one.
