Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from hospital, 3 weeks after being treated for Covid-19.

However, his actor-son Abishek, who was admitted at the same time, will remain in hospital, while his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai, and granddaughter were discharged last week.

Amitabh's discharge came as India's Home Minister, Amit Shah who is also Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s right-hand man had tested positive for the virus himself.
