The world famous German designer, Karl Lagerfeld has died at the age of 85, following a short illness on Tuesday. The sudden news left many celebrities grieving upon his demise.
Many of the fashion industry heavyweights, including Italian designer Donatella Versace, paid heartfelt tributes to the iconic designer, who was best known for his association with the French luxury label, Chanel.
Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine said that the world lost “a giant among men” and that speaks volumes about his credibility.
As a designer, Karl had transformed the fortunes of Chanel, turning it into one of the leading and most celebrated names in high fashion.
