Facebook is adding a new emoji called the ‘care’ emoji to its group of reactions!
The emoji is a yellow smiley hugging a red heart, which is said to appear on the main app globally by next week. Adding to that, there’s a pulsating purple heart on Messenger that’s already rolled out!
Alexandria Voica, a tech communications manager said that the reactions are aiming at giving people additional ways of showing support during the down times of COVID-19 pandemic.
We’re launching new Care reactions on @facebookapp and @Messenger as a way for people to share their support with one another during this unprecedented time.
