Are you tired of asking people to drive safe or drive slower?

Well, it’s pointless, but here's a tip from Thailand - just ‘build’ a floating road and watch how drivers actually slow down!

This volunteer group in Thailand created an optical illusion on the road to make roads safer for pedestrians!

All the drivers approaching the zebra cross see is children walking from one white  board to another, as if floating on the road. What a brilliant way to make drivers be more alert (and go slower) on roads!

With funding from Thailand’s Government Savings Bank, the zebra crossing runs across the main entrance to Wat Bueng Thong Lang school on the outskirts of Bangkok.

The students and volunteers painted six such illusions near schools and temples where there are always many pedestrians.

This is indeed a smart way to make the roads safer for pedestrians. At least people in Thailand can see their kids 'float' on the road too! What do you think about this initiative?
