Meet NiuNai (if you haven’t already) whose name means ‘milk’ in Mandarin, a cat with two different eye colors!
The cat from China was born with heterochromia iridis, a genetic condition in which a pair of iris develops in different colours.
Beautiful, isn’t she? NiuNai is special not only because of her different coloured eyes, but also sources say that this condition usually occur among white cats, as the gene responsible for the colour of their fur is the same as the one that determines the colour of their eyes.
But worry not, she’s not sick, and this condition doesn’t require any treatment, unless it comes with an underlying health problem. It’s said to also occur in humans.
