Not every day can be a good day. There will be some days where you just feel overwhelmed, uncertain and even anxious… and although you have good friends and loving family members who are really supportive, it can sometimes feel much better to open up to a complete stranger.

So if you find yourself struggling keeping it all together, here’s a list of helplines for you to contact and seek help.

1. Befrienders

This organization provides emotional support for you, basically 24/7.  If you need someone to just listen to your problems and not judge, give advice or provide solutions, they might be right choice.

Visit their website for more info: https://www.befrienders.org.my/

2. Malaysian Mental Health Association ( MMHA)

MMHA consists of qualified mental health professionals like psychologists and counselors who provide psychological support services. If you’re worried about the cost, they also offer financial subsidies.

Visit their website for more info: https://mmha.org.my/

3. Life Line Association Malaysia

With this association, you can get free consultation service face-to-face, over the phone or through email.

Visit their website for more info: http://lifeline.org.my/cn/

4. All Women’s Action Society (AWAM)

AWAM is a good place for those who experience gender-based violence. Their helpline is open for both male and female survivors.

Visit their website for more info: https://www.facebook.com/AWAMMalaysia/

5. Women’s Aid Organization (WAO)

If you or someone you know has gone through domestic violence, rape or any other form of violence, you can always reach out to WAO as they provide free and confidential services for survivors.

Visit their website for more info: https://wao.org.my/

We hope this helps you, or someone you know that may be struggling. We may not realize it, but sometimes… help is just a call away.

You're not alone, and you're loved.
