While fans on Twitter are connecting the emotional dialogue from the now iconic “I love you, 3000” liner in Avengers: Endgame with the total runtime of all the Marvel Comic Universe movies…

… sources now say that the liner was actually inspired by Robert Downey Jr.’s children!
According to screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the line, which was originally something else, was changed because of Ironman himself!
So what’s up with all the theories about the total runtime of the Marvel Comic Universe adding up to 3000 minutes?
We’ll leave it to you to decide. Here’s how people reacted to this info on Twitter.

you know, i thought “i love you 3000” was because the mcu has 3000 minutes worth of movies, BUT guess not, it’s because of something robert’s children say to him & he ask the screenwriters to add it to the scripts, why am i crying in the club??
