More and more people are coming out and paying tribute to Kobe, but some messages and experiences people share really break our hearts.

Little did we know the NBA star had been working on a children’s book with his co-author, Paulo Coelho, author of The Alchemist himself, just a few months before his tragic death.
Paulo tweeted that he’s deleting the unfinished draft that the two had worked on, with the screenshot of a text message the two exchanged.
You were more than a great player, dear Kobe Bryant. I learned a lot by interacting with you. Will delete the draft right now, this book has lost its reason pic.twitter.com/pZWyT8xObw

The author claimed that the book was meant to inspire underprivileged kids to overcome adversity through sports.
He added that the #GirlDad had always wanted to write a book that brought positive examples for children.
However, the internet disapproved of his move and saif that Kobe would have wanted Paulo to finish and publish it. Many fans have urged Paulo to finish the book in Kobe’s honour.
He would have wanted you to finish and release it.

Perhaps it would be a way to honour him if you still wrote it. But only if you have the heart, will and desire to do it. ❤️

Please don’t delete it, Mr. Coelho. Mamba Mentality would say to persevere, to persist. Fight the good fight.

With all due respect, I don't think you should delete it, rather take your time, finish it and publish it as a tribute to him

Take the pain & use it for something beautiful.

He was more than an athlete. I had the pleasure of conversing with him a few times and not once was it about sports. It was always about his family, inequality, spirituality, or some type of wisdom. With his family’s blessing, after some time, please share it with the world.

Don’t delete it. It gives you more than reason to continue to go with about writing that story. Years later, other generations can see what a legend he was.

Please, don’t delete it right now, @paulocoelho . Don’t act while the pain is still consuming all of us. Wait and maybe something bigger can come of this draft. We shouldn’t act while we’re still poisoned by the pain. 😭😭😭🙏❤️

Please don't delete... Let us experience it too... I'm sure he'd be more than happy to have you continue the book. #RIPKobe

Go on with the book! He would like you to keep going. 💔

We’d love to see the book in honour of one of the best basketball players ever. What do you think?
