Admit it, no matter how much we say we hate drama and surprises, we’ve all gone “awww” at a romantic scene in movies. Now imagine planning a whole proposal and almost getting that feel you see in movies for yourself, only to be disrupted. A man named Dan was all ready to propose to his girlfriend but he didn’t expect a plot twist there.

He had planned everything carefully so as to make sure both his parents and her parents were at the location. His dad was filming a video of the proposal and as the girl very excitedly stood on a wall, Dan reached into his pocket for the ring.
It was then his mother realised he was about to pop the question and she immediately said “no, no, no”
*that TikTok song playing in your heads too? Cuz same.*
Surprisingly, Dan chose to listen to his mom and dropped his plan.
The video has now gone viral online. We feel it’s kinda sus, but have a look.
How did the mother not know earlier? Hmm… Sources later reported that Dan said he obeyed his mom because mothers know best.
“My mama said she knows what’s best for me. If anyone tells me different, they’re the devil.”
However, Dan also confirmed that he had gotten engaged to the same girl later.
