So, Chris Evans unfortunately did something recently.

Let’s not pretend to not know things. We all saw it and now we all know about it. The issue here is big, guys.. but we’re here now to spread a more important message- beyond the fact that Captain America accidentally leaked his nudes.
Let’s take this moment to talk about online shaming. No matter how much we speak of equality and respecting the privacy of others, it almost always fails to be portrayed on social media. The Avengers star got it ‘easy’ because people really took it as an ‘accident’ and started posting memes about him accidentally sharing the explicit photo on his Instagram stories.
chris evans did nothing wrong he just saw marvel stans asking for content it’s our fault for not being more specific pic.twitter.com/LQfnMJVadF

yes, it’s funny
but it was an accident and he deleted it, so
please don’t share them
respect his privacy
protect him like he protected the world
shared his n*des by accident on his ig story pic.twitter.com/CwVhc2UokY

Thank you.

How can anyone not want to help him after a sentence to amazing
On a more serious note, this got us thinking, what would have happened if the same mistake was done by a female celebrity, instead? Would it still be taken lightly? Or would she be labelled as ‘attention seeking’, ‘asking for it’ or even ‘how can she accidentally post something like that?’, among worse things?
Yes, we have those tweets flooding the internet as well.
The public respect for Chris Evans’ privacy/feelings is wonderful. Wouldn’t it be nice if it extended to women when this kind of thing happens?

Unpopular opinion: Nude pics of women being leaked without consent is a violation, and that’s still true when it happens to men like Chris Evans.

This isn’t entertainment. It’s creepy and inappropriate.
I'm glad yall are protecting Chris Evans, but let's keep this same energy for women and not be a double standard. #chrisevansleak

Tbh, it's not just any man, it's Chris Evans. Like Keanu, he is like the best of men..kind hearted, down to earth, & has been most respectful to women. No scandals. The group advocating to preserve his privacy are mostly women because they understand how it feels.

imagine if y’all gave the same energy that you’re giving to Chris Evans to women who get their nudes leaked w/o their consent, like imagine that 😳🙈

Let people live. Let them do what they want and if your principles do not match others’, you can always, block, unfollow or unfriend them. Posting hate comments isn’t going to get you anywhere.
We don’t like to nag but sometimes, little things like this really show how much we preach and support empowerment and equality. Just saying you support equality isn’t enough. Let’s show it in our actions as well.
So, the next time you see something similar, just keep scrolling or if you really care about their dignity, DM them instead of shaming.
Like the picture in Chris Evans’ camera roll said, “Guard That P…” Prejudgements!
