Oh dear, internet, what would we do here…

Without thee? Staying home, scrolling the phone..
Lazing around home in our tee-s?
Okay, that was bad but we tried…to channel the Shakespeare in us.
If you’re a theatre lover, you’re probably being deprived of a real good performance because there aren’t any during the #MCO anyway. But we’ve found an equally entertaining compromise — sonnet recital!
Legendary stage screen actor, Sir Patrick Stewart tweeted a video of himself reciting Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116! We are not sure why he picked that in particular but we are getting all the feels!

I got married today to the love of my life in the presence of immediate family and a priest. We postponed our reception to keep everyone healthy. It feels like this was recited for us, thank you.

How do you do that? How? How is that a thing? You could read a shampoo bottle ingredients and I would listen.

Love this sonnet! (116, yes?) More, please!❤️🎭

The former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company for over 15 years got an overwhelming response from Twitter-verse and guess what? He tweeted another one, but now the first Sonnet!
1. I was delighted by the response to yesterday's posting of Shakespeare's Sonnet 116, and it has led me to undertake what follows...
— Patrick Stewart (@SirPatStew) March 22, 2020
2. When I was a child in the 1940s, my mother would cut up slices of fruit for me (there wasn't much) and as she put it in front of me she would say, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." How about, “A sonnet a day keeps the doctor away”? So...here we go: Sonnet 1. pic.twitter.com/kDoMNhdqcI

Does this mean we’re going to be ‘fed’ a sonnet a day during the #MCO?
One can hope! As the man says, “let a sonnet a day keep the doctors away…” or rather keep us away from the doctors for now. Stay safe, everyone!
