Corporal Mohd Azad is one such officer — having gone beyond his call of duty to rescue a puppy that somehow got itself into a monsoon drain.

In a video clip shared on Facebook, the police officer can be seen walking cautiously towards the poor puppy and patting its head to win its trust trusted, before following through with his rescue mission.
As soon as it was rescued and placed together with two other dogs on the road (believed to be its parents), the little pup started following the policeman, wagging its tail in appreciation.

The video has since received more than 16,000 shares and netizens’ praise for Corporal Azad’s kind deed.
