Taylor Swift could have a new album on the way and Swifties are on high alert.

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard much from Taylor, but her fans have always had her on their radar. The singer has been keeping quiet recently and fans are suspecting that she’s hard at work and on her way to releasing a new album!
Ever since Taylor broke her usual album-release pattern when Reputation dropped, fans have been left trying to figure out what the singer’s plan for the next album drop would be.
This week, Taylor has been dropping cryptic messages and photos on social media; Swifties have put on their detective caps and are searching through each post for hidden clues. Fans are convinced that Taylor’s “next chapter” is about to begin.
(For non-Swifties, this is about to get a little confusing and mind blowing.)
It all began when the singer posted a photo of palm trees, complete with a caption of seven palm tree emojis.
Palm trees. Simple right? Not to Swifties.
The fans have put meaning to these simple trees. They’ve even gone as far as dissecting the placements of the trees. One fan theorized that the four trees clumped together on the left actually represent Taylor’s country albums, while the two on the right are her pop albums. Therefore, the tree in the center must represent her upcoming Taylor Swift's Album Number 7, the fan stated.
My theory: Okay so in this picture there are 4 palm trees on the left (4 country albums). There are two palm trees on the right (2 pop albums). There is one large palm tree in the middle. Next, Taylor posted a pre-Oscars party picture of herself sitting on some stairs. Fans were quick to point out that the singer was seated on the sixth step in the picture. Was this a countdown?
After that was posted, the singer then uploaded another picture. This time, Taylor’s face is seen through one of the five holes in a fence.
If the countdown theory is true, fans are positive that Tay Tay will be making a big announcement by the end of it, which adds up to 2nd March 2019!
This countdown theory seems to validate all the previous fan theories that stated that TS7 could be released somewhere in April 2019.
Now, let’s backtrack to October 2018. Taylor won the award for Best Pop/Rock album at the 2018 AMAs and made a comment about the “next chapter” in her acceptance speech.
A couple of days after that, the singer posted a picture of with her mother playing a game of Scrabble. The post was captioned, “Let the games BEGIN.”
Swifties believed this to be an indication that the Reputation era was over and the “next chapter” was beginning and that we should start looking out for clues.
What’s noteworthy is that Taylor seems to be wearing the same, exact shirt from the Scrabble game in her latest post of the five fence holes. Fans have even gone as far as to search for the meaning behind the flower on her shirt.

A flower that blooms in April… Hmm…
Fans who purchased the official Taylor Swift 2019 calendar have also come in to back up all these theories about the timing of TS7’s release. According to these fans, a delicate flower has been placed on 2nd March! They’ve even gone as far to note that the flower is half on 23rd February – when the countdown began – and half on 2nd March – when the countdown will supposedly end.
