You've most probably grown up hearing your parents constantly telling you to, "save money ah, don't simply spend." And many times, we nod our heads in fake acknowledgement but know that it's almost impossible to save. But this 12-year-old boy may have found the secret to saving and it starts with RM1.

While most kids beg, plead and cry for the latest gadgets, 12-year-old Irfan decided to go the old fashioned route by earning and saving up the money to buy a Playstation 4 (PS4) for himself!
His sister, Farhana, first drew attention to this inspiring story of her brother when she posted on Twitter saying, "My 12 years old brother bought ps4 today using his savings. And they're all RM1 notes."

According to Farhana, her brother had started his own little service business by loaning out his personal comics to his friends and charging them. Irfan is an avid comics collector, and he gained most of his money from his small business.
Just to let uguys know, my brother ni comics collector. So dia buat bisnes servis pinjam komik dkt kwn2 dia. Dari situ lah dia kumpul duit😂😂

By saving every RM1 note that came his way, Irfan managed to save up RM600!
For those of you thinking that RM600 isn't enough to buy a PS4, you're right. His family were so proud and impressed by his diligence that his parents help to top up the balance amount.
P/s: my parents did topup little bit for him. He saved around rm600, and the rest my parents yg bayarkan. But still, im so proud of him 🥰

So for those of you who need help to start saving, take a page out of Irfan's book. Every time you get a RM1 note, put it in your piggy bank or somewhere safe and check back in next year! And for those of you thinking of going bigger, saving RM5 or RM10 notes will work too!
