This young man was separated from his mother some 15 years ago- who would have guessed that Twitter would reunite them in just 24 hours?

Najmal Aizzat Azmi shared an old photo of his mother on Twitter and said that he wanted to find his mother, who left him with his foster family when he was five due to some misunderstanding.

Assalamualaikum guys. I'm looking for my biological mom. I dah tak jumpa dia dalam 15 tahun mcm tu.. but i only have a picture of her tapi gmbar ni dah lama time dia study. her name was azlina maybe.. i tak pasti nama betul dia.. just dulu org panggil dia ayui. Well, studies, life and work got in the way for the 20 year-old and recently, he decided to continue his search.

Lucky him, his mother’s niece who stumbled upon the tweet shared her contact with him and the rest was history.

Having to deal with a little awkwardness, the very grateful Najmal thanked his Twitter family for doing what they did. We’re glad that they’ve found each other and knowing that they’re finally going to meet after the MCO makes us happy!

Najmal added that his mom was also looking for him but failed as his foster family moved away. He was a confused little boy back then but now that he understands the past and the circumstances, we hope the mother and son find their peace and happiness.
