Suicide Squad 2 will feature Idris Elba as Deadshot, replacing Will Smith!
Like you, we had questions. Why Idris, why? Well, the people at Warner Bros.’ stepped up to deliver the answer. It was totally their choice.
We heard the news some time ago that Will wouldn’t be able to be take on a role as cast member (due to scheduling conflicts) and it looks like the studio moved fast to get another A-lister as a replacement.
Fingers crossed it’ll be the only character replacement that’s going to happen in the movie, as it’s currently unknown who will be joining Idris in the sequel.
On the bright side, we’re getting some positive response from fans over Twitter!

Production starts in September reportedly and the release date is currently set for 6th August 2021 in the international cinemas. (Talk about tease!)
The original movie, starring Will became a massive box office sensation back in 2016.
