A week ago, a woman in Mexico was detained for stabbing her husband because she caught him cheating, or thought she did.
Upon discovering several photos on his mobile phone with “another girl”, Leonora stabbed him several times but it turned out that the young girl in the photos was actually her younger self!
The photo was taken way back when they were dating and the woman had failed to recognize herself in the pictures. Juan, the husband managed to take the knife from her and explained himself, saying that he digitized the old snapshots to store in his phone gallery, as a keepsake.
Neighbours who heard the commotion reported the matter to the police and Leonora was detained by the authorities and is now pending charges.
We hope Juan recovers soon and let this incident be a gentle reminder to all of us to pause and reflect on an issue before blindly jumping into conclusions.
