Your Life Has NOT Been A Lie; There Is NO 13th Zodiac Sign.

Phew, you can now continue justifying your behavior according to your zodiac (if you’re someone who does that a lot) because the rumour that there’s a new zodiac sign is NOT TRUE.

After a few times in the past decade, a post would trend once again, saying NASA confirmed a 13th zodiac sign, Ophiuchus, messing up all the other signs. (Imagine growing up to a star sign, and suddenly realizing…it never existed to begin with.)

NASA has officially announced a 13th zodiac sign with the discovery of a new constellation. What's your new sign?: https://bit.ly/32tRW2s

But calm down, NASA has returned (again) to deny it (again). They’re busy discovering more about space and astral bodies than wondering why Karen is not behaving like the Capricorn she’s supposed to be.

NASA reshared a blog post that it posted way back in 2016 to loop the rest of the internet in.

They further explained this:

“The constellations are different sizes and shapes, so the sun spends different lengths of time with each one. The line from Earth through the Sun points to Virgo for 45 days, but it points to Scorpius for only 7 days. To make a tidy match with their 12-month calendar, the Babylonians ignored the fact that the Sun actually moves through 13 constellations, not 12.”

Aah, so does this mean it’s the Babylonians’ fault for neglecting Ophiuchus in the first place? We guess that’s a discussion for another time but point is, your lifelong star sign remains.

You can now peacefully continue googling if your crush’s zodiac is compatible with yours. What sign are you?
