Cops: Keep It Clean In N9

Police are urging political parties and their candidates to be on their best behaviour, as they prepare to enter the campaigning period for the Negeri Sembilan state election.

They’re being urged to avoid provocation and the spread of fake news…and to stay away from issues that touch on race, religion and royalty.

Cops also say more than 2,300 personnel will be deployed to maintain safety and order during tomorrow’s nomination day.

Nearly 70 percent of road accidents in the country last year involved those aged between 16 and 40.

The Transport Ministry says there were more than 20 thousand cases involving this age bracket in 2025.

This follows a similar trend from 2024…where the elderly accounted for only a small portion of the cases as there are typically fewer of them driving.

The Second Meeting of the Fifth Term of the 15th Parliament has been adjourned after sitting for 16 days.

13 bills were passed during this period…including the Road Transport Amendment Bill and the Sexual Offences Against Children Amendment Bill.

The swearing-in ceremony for Johor’s new state executive council has been postponed to tomorrow.

It was originally scheduled to take place this morning at Istana Bukit Serene, following the recent completion of the Johor state election.

Two men have been detained by police in Sabah after a 10-year-old girl who had been reported missing since early this week, was found dead in Kota Kinabalu.

A woman in Miri has lost over 1.3 million ringgit when her phone was apparently hacked after she clicked on a link on a social media ad.

And, the Finance Ministry says the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah program has seen a 99 percent utilization rate, with spending hitting over 3.4 billion ringgit so far this year.
