7 Opposition MPs Sign Deal With Govt

Several members of Parliament have signed an agreement to support the government and Budget 2027.

Under the Confidence and Supply Agreement, the support comes in exchange for the implementation of reforms on the Prime Minister's term limit, and the separation of powers between the Attorney General and Public Prosecutor.

The MPs also want to receive the same constituency allocations as government backbenchers.

The deal involves six Bersatu MPs, including its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, as well as Muar MP, Syed Saddiq.

Meanwhile, Tan Sri Muhyiddin says this agreement has nothing to do with any possible cooperation with Pakatan Harapan for the Melaka state election.
