Army Probes Training Mishap

The Army has set up an enquiry board to determine the cause of yesterday’s incident, where two soldiers were injured during a weapons training exercise at a camp in Gurun Kedah.

All live-fire drills have also been temporarily suspended, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Initial checks, however, have found no SOP violations in the handling of weapons during the exercise.

The latest incident happened at the same camp where two other soldiers were killed during a grenade exercise last month.

The Ministry clarified that the website was mainly used to share corporate and public information and did not store any sensitive data.

It adds that its healthcare delivery system continues to operate as normal, and is protected by separate security infrastructure.
