Pogba almost joined PSG

Nov 01, 2019

A new report says Paul Pogba came close to joining PSG during the summer transfer window.

The report claims that PSG opened talks with Pogba's agent, because of concerns at that time that Marco Verratti wanted to leave the French club.

The talks were called off after Verratti decided to stay at the French club, and he ultimately signed a new contract.

Juventus midfielder Emre Can will reportedly snub Man United, to join PSG in January.

The former Liverpool star has struggled to secure a regular spot at Juve, making only  four Serie A appearances this season.

It's believed that the Italian champions are willing to let him go for around 35 million pounds.

Liverpool could play in the EFL Cup quarterfinals after all.

Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp earlier threatened to boycott the match, if organisers are unable to reschedule the game amid a fixure pileup.

The last-8 encounter, against Aston Villa clashes with the start of their Fifa Club World Cup campaign in Qatar.

As a compromise, reports say the Reds COULD field two separate teams, to play in two different competitive matches in two continents on the same day.
