Klopp downplays injuries

Oct 28, 2019

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has played down concerns that Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk picked up major injuries in their 2-1 win over Tottenham this morning.

Salah, who scored the second of Liverpool's goals, was substituted late in the game after receiving treatment.

Klopp says Salah had a minor issue with the same ankle that he had twisted, in their win over Leicester earlier this month.

The German also confirmed that Van Dijk sustained "a dead leg" and will recover quickly.

This is after the Brit toook the chequered flag at this morning's Mexican GP, while his nearest championship rival. teammate Valtteri Bottas, finished third.

Hamilton will seal the title, if he finishes in 8th place or higher at this weekend's US Grand Prix.
