Content Creators Are Not Filing Their Taxes

Only 34 percent of Malaysian content creators files income tax. 

According to a recent survey, the remainder either didn’t know that content creators need to file taxes…or were unsure if they qualified for income tax.

Nearly half of those surveyed were also unaware that compensation in the form of free products or hotel stays are classified as taxable income.
