There’s been an alarming rise in online crime, with the number of cases nearly doubling in 2025 compared to the previous year.

Bukit Aman says more than 66 thousand cases were reported last year, involving losses of almost 3 billion ringgit.

The cops say this reflects a significant change in how crime is being conducted, with 90 percent of commercial criminal cases now involving online elements.
