EPF To Close Remittance Counters

All remittance counters at EPF offices nationwide will be closed from July 1st, as part of the fund’s push for digital service delivery.

However, all other EPF service counters will continue operating as usual.

After the closure, members who want to make contribution payments can continue using facilities like the i-akaun app, self-service terminals and internet banking.

The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry is urging state governments to raise the minimum age for Muslim marriages to 18.

Its hoping the states will follow in the footsteps of Selangor and Kedah - who’ve already amended their respective laws - so that the matter can be standardized across the country.

A court in Thailand has sentenced two ethnic Uyghur men to death for the deadly Bangkok bombing in 2015.
