Extra Day Off For Hari Raya This Year

Companies are being urged to consider flexible work arrangements for their staff, in light of the additional day off for Hari Raya.

The Human Resources Ministry says this is to allow the employees to spend more time with their families during the festive period.

This comes after the Prime Minister announced that next Monday would be a holiday if the first day of Raya falls on this Friday.

However, if the first day falls on Saturday, then Friday will be declared a holiday.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry says all government hospitals and clinics will operate as usual during the festive season.

However, those whose appointments fall on the extra Raya holidays will be contacted and given new appointment dates.
