Final Preparations Made To Bring Malaysians Home

The government has entered the final phase of preparations to evacuate Malaysian nationals who are stranded in the middle east. 

This, amid the increasingly worsening security situation in the region.

The National Security Council says it is working closely with the Foreign Ministry and our diplomatic missions abroad, to bring home the stranded Malaysians as soon as possible.

This is under a direct order from the Prime Minister, who also says he will personally monitor the evacuation process.

Separately, the Prime Minister’s office says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to announce several more pieces of good news for Malaysians, to ease the people’s burden ahead of Aidilfitri.

The PM has already announced seven initiatives so far…including the early payout of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah…the expansion of the FlySiswa flight subsidies…and having more Rahmah Madani sales programs.

There’s been an increase in the number of takedown requests to service providers, to remove harmful content online.

The Communications Ministry says more than 60 percent of these, involved gambling-related content.

Kelantan police have recorded statements from 10 individuals as part of investigations into the recent death of a trainee doctor at a hostel in Kuala Krai.

A 17-year-old student has died in a freak accident in Teluk Intan, after being accidentally slashed by a long-handled sickle carried by a passing motorcyclist.

And, authorities have busted a massive Klang Valley-based drug distribution syndicate, seizing more than three tonnes of meth worth around 170 million ringgit.
