
Restaurant menu prices must reflect actual costs, and they cannot be raised arbitrarily.
The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry this, after the Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association, Presma, said that restaurant operating costs have risen by between 10-30%.
KPDN adds that it will seek further clarification from Presma over its comments.
Recently, the association said that costs have been rising since mid-last year, and the situation has worsened due to the economic impact of the Iran war.
Presma assured that its restaurants will do their best to maintain their prices for now, but warned that this could change if costs continue to rise.
