The Prime Minister says Covid-19 patients from lower income group B40, who are isolating at home will receive RM50 a day for a span of two
weeks.

However, this is subject to confirmation by a medical officer.

The government has outlined several initiatives under its latest economic recovery plan to support women entrepreneurs, empower youth and care for persons with disabilities.

An allocation of RM10 million through a 70% matching fund will be provided for women entrepreneurs and self-employed women to subscribe to SOCSO.

The maximum salary eligibility limit for Disabled Workers Allowance will be increased by RM300 to RM1,500 per month.

The government will extend its eBelia programme to promote cashless transactions among the youths in June this year and increase the credit amount to RM150.

Minister in-charge for the national immunisation programme Khairy Jamaluddin will be the first individual to receive China’s Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine today.

The use of the vaccine will begin at a hospital in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.

Khairy opted out from taking the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to encourage people to receive whichever vaccine that is offered to them.
