Teacher dies due to COVID-19 vaccine is FAKE

Police in Port Dickson have rubbished a recent viral claim alleging a teacher died due to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Cops say initial investigations found that the deceased had a history of several chronic diseases.

They add that the victim passed away while receiving treatment at hospital.

Those who are eligible to be vaccinated under Phase 2 of the COVID-19 Immunization programme will start receiving their appointments today, via MySejahtera.

Its coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin says they will be given the option to either accept or decline the appointment.

Those who accept must show up for the shot, to prevent the vaccine from going to waste.

Over 1k new COVID-19 cases

Malaysia reported 1,070 new COVID-19 cases today.

Selangor, Sarawak, and Penang had the highest number of infections.

Meanwhile, seven more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,295.
