Status PKP bakal diketahui dalam masa 72 jam | Astro Awani

There will be no curfew imposed during the first phase of the total lockdown, starting tomorrow (June 1).

Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says shopping malls are not allowed to operate, apart from essential services such as supermarkets and hypermarkets.

He adds that individuals can only go outside to purchase essential products.

Only two people will be allowed to leave the house at a time to buy essential items, and they may only travel within a 10 kilometre radius.

This can be increased to three people in the case of medical emergencies, seeking healthcare services and medical attention.

Meanwhile, all work permit letters by the International Trade and Industry Ministry, MITI will expire tomorrow and new letters will then be distributed from related ministries.

Among the economic sectors listed as essential and allowed to remain open during the 2-week lockdown are food and beverage, healthcare, veterinary services, public transport, banking, and communications.

Kindergartens and nurseries are not allowed to operate.

Sports and recreational activities are limited to jogging and exercises that do not involve physical contact, and only from 7am to 8pm.
