Daily COVID-19 cases in Malaysia dropped to 17,352 today, with Sarawak having the most infections.

The Health Ministry says Selangor had the second most cases, ahead of Johor.

Labuan was the only area with single digit cases.

Johor to give COVID-19 vaccine to teenagers soon

Johor currently has no plans to administer a third shot of the COVID-19 vaccine to recipients.

Its Menteri Besar says instead of giving out booster shots, the priority should be given to school students below the age of 18, as well as those in university.

Johor plans to do so once its entire adult population is vaccinated at the end of next month.

Nearly 16 million people now completed COVID-19 vaccinations

68% of Malaysia's adult population has already received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

This means nearly 16 million people have now completed their vaccinations.

Overall, more than 36 million doses have now been given out under the National Immunisation Program.
