kkm expects rise in covid-19 cases due to floods

The Health Minister has warned of a possible surge in new COVID cases due to the nation’s flood situation.

Khairy Jamaluddin says he understands that following SOPs may not be feasible during evacuations.

It's because the priority now is to rescue those hit hard by floods.

Currently, 181 flood victims have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Four people have now been found drowned in the Shah Alam neighbourhood of Taman Sri Muda.

Selangor rescue authorities say this raises the state’s death toll to seven.

One flood victim is still missing.

New COVID-19 infections fall below 3k!

Daily COVID-19 infections have fallen below 3,000 for the first time since early May this year.

This, after the Health Ministry reported 2,589 cases today.

It dipped by nearly 520 infections compared to yesterday’s figure.
