MetMalaysia lifts continuous rain warning in 4 states

The continuous rain warning in Perlis, Kedah, Penang and northern Perak has been lifted.

Weather officials expect the weather conditions in those states to improve.

However, thunderstorms are expected this morning in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang Selangor, KL, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Sabah and Labuan.

The Health Ministry has recorded 86 new Covid-19 cases in temporary flood relief
centres , bringing the total to 267 infections.

Other than Covid-19, it also recorded acute respiratory tract infections, skin infections and food poisoning cases.

Daily Covid-19 infections rose as the Health Ministry reported 3,140 cases yesterday.

It’s up by 551 infections compared to the previous day’s figure.

JPJ will provide replacement documents for free for those affected by floods.

This includes driving licenses, temporary vehicle ownership certs, and road tax discs.

Flood victims need not rush to get their documents replaced and they’ll be given ample time to do so once their affairs are in order.
