vtl ticket sales frozen until january

The Health Minister says all ticket sales for the Malaysia-Singapore VTL will be frozen starting tomorrow until January 20th.

Khairy Jamaluddin says it is to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant.

He adds that travellers who already bought flight or bus tickets and meet set requirements, can continue to travel under the system.

The Health Ministry is setting up field operations centers for residents hit hard by floods.

It’s to allow them to get their medicine and treatment for mild cases without having to go to a full hospital.

The first center was set up in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam earlier this week.

Three more of such centers will be opened at flood-affected areas in Selangor.

vtl ticket sales frozen until january

Flood victims in Shah Alam, Selangor have been urged to stay put at temporary relief centers.

The city council says evacuees need to get approval from authorities and to only return home once it's safe.

Meanwhile, it reminded residents to remain vigilant of possible rising floodwaters, particularly in the Batu Tiga area.

This is after Shah Alam was hit with another episode of heavy rain earlier today.
