Dec 28, 2021

KJ: Shorter wait for Pfizer, AZ boosters

kj: shorter wait for pfizer, az boosters

Recipients of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have had their wait to get booster shots reduced by half.

The Health Minister says now, they'll only have to wait for 3 months, to help stop the spread of new variants.

Khairy Jamaluddin says this puts them on par with Sinovac recipients.

He adds that this is in line with recommendations from health experts in the UK, Canada and Australia.

Priority will be given to the elderly and those with comorbidities.
