The PM has called for an end to the criticism of the decision to reduce Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's jail time and fine.  

According to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Yang Dipertuan Agong has the prerogative to issue pardons under the Federal Constitution.   

He also denied that the decision showed that the government lacks bite in the battle against corruption.

Motorists have been reminded to always manage their emotions when traveling back home for the Chinese New Year holidays.  

The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research says it's because in today's age, people are often pressed for time and tend to violate traffic signals and rules, and this can contribute to accidents.

Separately, Johor's Immigration Department says it will station additional staff at its land border checkpoints, to help ensure a smooth immigration process during Chinese New Year.  

This, as it expects the number of visitors to rise to over 220 thousand during the holiday period.

And Taylor Swift has made history at this year's Grammys after she became the first-ever artist to win Album of the Year for a 4th time.  

This is after she won the prize with her album, ‘Midnights’, as well as the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. 

During the ceremony, Swift also confirmed that her new album, "The Tortured Poets Department" will be released on April 19th. 

The other top Grammy winners were Miley Cyrus, who won Record of the Year, and Billie Eilish who took the Song of the Year prize.  

Also, Metallica won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance.  

And Dave Chappelle took home the prize for Best Comedy Album
