His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia has told all political leaders to avoid extreme views, with regards to race and religion.  

The King says they must set an example by showing maturity and help unite all Malaysians instead of dividing them.  

Sultan Ibrahim also said that recent events showed that all segments of society have a responsibility in preserving national unity. 

His Majesty said this following an audience with UMNO and DAP leaders.  

Meanwhile, strengthen ties, reduce hatred, and build trust, by joining the #MZB365 movement today.

A slower speed limit is still the best way to reduce our accident rate, especially during festive periods.  

UPM road safety expert, Prof. Dr Kulanthayan K.C. Mani told us that this is based on similar speed limit reductions overseas...  

Under the Ops Selamat operation for Aidilfitri, the speed limit on federal roads has been temporarily reduced to 80km/h

MetMalaysia says 24 areas nationwide were under a Level-1 heat alert today.  

The affected areas, in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Sarawak reported temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius for at least 3 consecutive days.

Authorities prevented some 60 tonnes of excess Ramadan Bazaar food from going to waste, through a special programme under the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry.  

The food was distributed to groups students, welfare homes and the homeless, among others.
